Our customers aren’t the only ones who love our rugs – Earth does, too! Chandra Rugs aspires to be a “sustainable” business: we invest in renewable resources and strive to hold ourselves accountable for the environmental and human rights impacts of our activities.
Without sounding any more like some tedious college textbook, that means we make sure to use organic products to make our rugs, like cotton for the Enza collection, jute vegetable fiber for the Art collection, natural latex adhesive and raw wool for everything else. And because all of our rugs are hand-made, we don’t have a slew of factories spewing pollution every workday.
So while we may not have an Academy Award for our efforts, we know we’re making a difference – and there’s nothing inconvenient about that.
